A Splendid Life in the Local Church
I am a researcher at the National Bureau of Standards and my wife is a professor in the physics department at Georgetown University. The ministry of Watchman Nee an Witness Lee opens up the Holy Scripture to us, and helps us, and our friend here, very much to grow in our Christian life. It is a joy to have fellowship with the Christians here in the local church in Dunn Loring. We recently had an experience of being a strong testimony of the Lord Jesus. A prominent scientist from abroad told a group at Georgetown University that he had visited and given lectures at various universities in this country and was invited by his friends to attend various churches, but not one of them impressed him. Then he told them that last Sunday he was invited to a local church meeting in Dunn Loring, Virginia. There he saw people of varied professions, with different languages and became a believer in Christ and was eager to bring back the gospel he received to the students in his university where he is the director of their cardiovascular research institute.
